How many passengers does the car hold?
The car was designed as a 4 seater, but today you might find it more snug than a modern car! It does however, still seat 4 people.
Is such an old car safe?
Even though cars over 40 years old are MOT exempt, we personally find this irresponsible and so ALWAYS have our car fully MOT’d and checked. We also send her several specialists regularly, where she is inspected by professional classic mechanics, and any work undertaken. In between hires, we also perform visual checks on the car.
Can we bring a dog?
Unfortunately, we don’t allow dogs in the car. At nearly 90 years old, we wouldn’t want to risk the upholstery, and there is no separate boot/hatch space in which a dog could safely travel.
Who can drive the car?
A long as you have a full UK manual driving license, and are aged between 25-75, then you can drive our car! You do also need to have 6 points or fewer on your license (and you won’t get any for speeding in this car!)
What if the weather is terrible?
Don’t worry- we’re more than happy to reschedule your day if the weather is poor. It’s no fun for you to be stuck inside a car whilst it chucks it down, and it’s not much fun for a 90 year old car to be battered by the elements either! There’s no charge for rebooking due to bad weather, and we’ll always do our best to rebook you to a day you’re happy with.
What about fuel?
As an old car, Belle still needs to run on E5 petrol, with octane booster and lead replacement. Because of this, we’ll take care of the fuel- it’s all included in the cost of hire, so don’t worry about it!
How much does hire cost?
We like to offer as flexible experience as possible for your hire, so you don’t have to pay for a whole day’s hire if you only want a couple of hours! Give us a call to discuss what you’re looking for, and we can quote you the best possible price!
