We had a fabulous day out to celebrate our Pearl Wedding Anniversary. Joe was really helpful in making sure we felt comfortable at being left in charge of Belle and heading out to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the area. The surrounding roads were generally quiet to drive on, which meant we could take our time becoming more confident in driving this beautiful car. Be prepared to be very popular when you park up - we had lots of admiring looks and quite a few people enquiring about her! The picnic provided was amazing - we enjoyed sandwiches and homemade savoury bakes as well as freshly made scones, cream and jam which together with piping hot tea and coffee (and cold drinks too) made for quite the feast!Belle needs a bit of patience uphill, and is a quirky pleasure to drive - and who wouldn't be at the grand age of 88 years old? Thanks Joe - you helped make our special day one to remember forever!

Just wanted to say thank you so much for lending us Belle for the afternoon. We had a wonderful time and the picnic was delicious. Belle certainly attracts attention and whenever we were parked up we had lots of people come over to admire her. This was lovely for us as we got to talk to people from America, Belgium and France as well as UK. We were also able to share the experience by encouraging people to take photos by Belle! Thanks for all your help in booking, and the little driving advice lesson before we took charge of her. Knowing you were on hand if we needed help made us feel very safe and it was a fabulous experience we will never forget.

On the morning of my birthday my wife presented me with an unusual but exciting message. I was to go to the Cavendish Arms in Embsay and drive a 1935 Austin 10/4, wherever I wanted to go and to enjoy a picnic as part of the service. The car, known affectionally as ‘Belle’, was ready and waiting for us, with a picnic hamper on the back seats. After a short lesson I prepared to take control of this beautiful old car. It didn’t take long to adapt to the controls, and the open road was ours. Wherever we went people smiled and waved. Belle didn’t let us down – she was comfortable and reliable, and even seemed to get used to me driving her. After fifteen or so miles we stopped at our chosen picnic spot, and enjoyed opening all the sections of the hamper, which had been prepared with care. I was enjoying my lunch, but couldn’t wait to get back behind the wheel, and we were soon continuing our journey once again, with me feeling privileged to be driving the magical Belle, a memory of the past and a unique kind of time travel. I strongly recommend the experience to anyone who would like to experience an unforgettable, heartwarming adventure.
